Applications of laser ablation-based spectroscopy
Unlike the traditional laser-based sensor technologies, laser ablation technologies are independent of the properties of the material analyzed. The sample under analysis does not need to be conductive, fluorescent or Raman active. They also provide high-sensitivity. Laser ablation technologies work on any material, which can be in solid, liquid or gas phase. Because any material can be ablated, the applications are endless.
