New Laser Sampling Approaches

Our work in this area focuses on new sampling technologies that leverage recent advances in ultrafast laser optics and chemistry to improve sensitivity, accuracy and precision.

Examples of some of the new laser sampling approaches we are currently developing are listed below:

  • Sampling with weakly ionized plasmas
  • Sampling in the optical near field
  • Sampling with optical vortex beams
  • Solid matrix transformation
